Bouncy House and Rain

A couple of weekends ago, we took the boys down to Decatur for the DMH Family Picnic. My mom works at DMH and each year they throw a picnic for their employees and their families. There is free food (hot dogs, hamburgers, walleye sandwiches, corn dogs, French fries, lemon shake-ups, funnel cakes, etc.) and games for the kids. The boys tried a little bit of everything for lunch. Alex loved the corn dogs. Nick liked the French fries and Logan preferred to just hold his food in his hand, although he did eat a little walleye at one point (he was in need of a nap!).

They are still a little young for some of the carnival games, but they did get to ride on the ponies and bounce in a bouncy house. It took a little coaxing at first to get them in the house, but once they went in and realized what it was… they didn't want to get out! Thankfully, cousin Chloe was there to go in and bring them out. Thanks Chloe!!! We forgot to take a camera, but we did have our camera phones!

Later that weekend, I decided to show he boys how to play in the rain. They had just finished eating dinner – or more like wearing most of it. So we stripped them and took them out in the rain to play. Grandpa wasn't interested in getting wet but Grandma and Uncle Brandon were willing to help. Thanks dad for getting some great pics! We all had fun and of course, they did not want to come back inside!

Next time, we'll find a big mud puddle too! I can't wait!!!

New Toys

This weekend the boys got some new toys. Alex won't go anywhere without the truck Grandma Carol got for them.

I also picked up a basketball hoop for them to play with at the Mothers of Multiples garage sale this weekend. Nick got super excited when he saw it and went straight to playing with it. Once we found another ball, Logan joined him. Enjoy the short video I got of them playing with it...

Jail Break!

The boys are grounded until they're at least 5!!!

Last weekend we were coming up from playing in the basement because it was bath time. Adam was upstairs running the bath water. The boys were in the play room (all gated in) while I went in and got the bed time DVD ready and then a potty break. All of a sudden I hear Adam yelling that there are kids outside!

At first I thought the boys might have opened the gate (one of Logan's specialities) and gone out into the back yard since they can open the sliding door. (Are you sensing a theme here?!) Instead, I run out to the front yard and find Logan at the bottom of the drive way on the sidewalk and Adam is 2 houses down with Alex and Nick under his arms!

As we're bringing the boys back into the house (no one was hurt - thank goodness!), I see the screen to the front window laying on the porch. Somehow, the three of them pushed out the screen, climbed onto the porch, climbed off the porch and into the landscaping and then into the yard. I'm guessing Nick and Alex went straight to the sidewalk and then down the street to see how far they could get before we caught them. Thankfully, Logan didn't get too far.

Remember this picture from earlier this summer...

Seems it was all just studying the window to see how they could get the screen out and escape! They actually got it out one other time too, but were caught in the act. This time, they knew to make sure no one was in the room. I should have known when I heard them all giggling!

I guess it happens to all of us. At least they weren't naked! Seems some kids like to go a couple of houses down, knock on the neighbor's door and say hi without clothes on. Wonder who that was...

Itsy Bitsy Spider

The boys enjoy singing and signing to Itsy Bitsy Spider. Here is a video of them doing it. First is Logan and his abbreviated version. He doesn't quite say all the words, but it's all there. Then Nick joins him and finally Alex stops in the screen to say Hi!

Enjoy!
